Attia, Avraham (Bracha)
Son of Shalom and Massouda. Born in Tunis, Tunisia, on April 18, 1937. Graduated from elementary school, immigrated to Israel with his family in 1950. He was a contractor for renovating houses and working in carpentry, his hobby was to compose songs and sing them at celebrations in the homes of friends or children He was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in December 1955. Participated in the operation of Qalqiliya and the Sinai Campaign. From time to time he went to reserve service and at the outbreak of the Six-Day War he was called back to the flag. On the eve of the Six-Day War, while Avraham was with the brigade’s force in the areas of a meeting to prepare for an operational action against the enemy forces, he was wounded in his duty and died of his wounds. It was the fourth day of the battles, it was Iyar 5727 (8.6.1967). left a wife and five children; The sixth daughter was born about two and a half months after her father sank. He was buried in the military cemetery in Haifa and was later transferred to the eternal rest of the military cemetery in Netanya.
