Atia, Yoram
Ben Chaya and David. He was born on October 15, 1969 in Beit Shean, where Yoram’s years at the Tomer elementary school were years of satisfaction and pleasure, and in his diaries he expressed his yearning for this period, which he considered the most beautiful of his life. He moved with his good friends to the junior high school at the ORT school, and even though he wanted to study computers, he was referred to the theoretical field, and Yoram continued to the Ort Comprehensive High School with this cohesive group. An unorthodox boy with a deep philosophical mind and wide horizons, Yoram was sensitive and gentle, restrained and spontaneous, and Yoram was drafted in March 1988. At first he planned to Yes with Nahal groups, Ah”d ‘But he changed his mind. Yoram asked to serve in the Intelligence Corps, and the Corps did this and placed it served as a lookout. In November 1988, received Yoram Corporal, and exactly one year later rose to the rank of sergeant. According to his commander, “He was an exemplary soldier and performed a variety of important and sensitive roles, and he was very kind, loyal and loved by the soldiers and commanders of the unit.” Yoram liked to help and greatly contributed to the welfare of the soldiers and their operational needs. Yoram promised himself a place of study at the university, and planned to study medicine or law after completing his army service. On the 4th of Shevat 5702 (February 4, 1990), Sergeant Yoram Atia was killed while serving in the military section of the Beit Shean cemetery, and was succeeded by his parents, brother and two sisters, Aliza and Yael, Which was allotted a place for 50 soul candles donated by his family to the Beit Shean synagogue.
