Asulin, Yehuda

Yehuda, son of Masoud and Isha Asulin, was born in 1928, in Safro, Morocco. He immigrated to Israel in 1956 with his mother, who was widowed and supported her. He worked as a laborer (tile maker) in the “clay” factory of Solel Boneh in Jerusalem and used to pray as a public shaliach in the synagogue. At the outbreak of the Six-Day War, on the first day of the fighting, on the 26th of Iyar 5727 (June 5, 1967), Yehuda was on his way to his unit in Jerusalem to carry out his duties in the civil defense unit. In the shelling of Jerusalem, Yehuda fell. He left a wife and six children. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Givat Shaul.
