Assaf Rosenfeld

Son of Ida and Dudi. Born on August 16, 1976 in Akko. In November 1994, Assaf joined the IDF and chose to join the Givati ​​Brigade. Assaf was chosen as an outstanding officer of the Givati ​​Brigade and was supposed to receive the medal of distinction at the President’s Residence on Israel’s 50th Independence Day in May 1998. He was scheduled to be appointed company commander in early 1999, but he did not receive it. On 30 Shvat 5768 (February 26, 1998) Assaf fell in battle in the area of ​​the Karkum outpost in southern Lebanon, and was raised to the rank of lieutenant at the age of 20. He was buried at the military cemetery in Nahariya, leaving behind his parents, two brothers and a sister.
