Asraf, David
Son of Mordechai and Mazal Born in 1958 in the city of Derveda, Morocco, when he was three years old, his family immigrated to Israel and settled in Pardes Hanna, where David was accepted to the Shiloh elementary school and graduated from the ORT vocational school, Who was a member of the Gadna and took part in its activities. David was a quiet, comfortable and joyful boy. He liked to sing Hasidic songs, and many of his friends asked for his closeness. After two years he stopped studying and went to work to support the family. Until his conscription, he worked in a packing house in Kibbutz Gan Shmuel. He also devoted himself to the development of his physical abilities in preparation for his enlistment in the IDF and was engaged in karate exercises. David was drafted into the IDF at the end of October 1975 and was assigned to the Armored Corps, completing his basic training and being assigned to one of the IAF units On the 16th of Adar 5736 (18.3.1976) David passed away during his service, “In the course of his brief service, David was recognized as a disciplined soldier and liked his friends and commanders.” His family entered a Torah scroll in a synagogue in Pardes-Chana to commemorate his memory .
