Aslan, Eliyahu
Son of Shimon and Noam. He was born in Iraq in 1941. On his 10th birthday, the family immigrated to Israel after graduating from the second grade there, where he completed his elementary studies and continued his evening classes for printing at the Max Payne vocational school. Gan was drafted into the IDF in May 1959 and after completing his regular service he was called up for reserve duty. At the outbreak of the Six-Day War, called to reserve duty and on the fifth day of the battles, he fell on the 1st of Sivan 5767 (June 9, 1967), and was buried at the military cemetery in Bari. His memory was included in the booklet “Brigade in the Six Day War”
