He was born on December 16, 1972 in Dimona, began his studies at the Mekor Haim religious elementary school and continued in the Appelman middle school, where Yigal was a socially active youth and was active in the Bnei Akiva youth movement As a very important and vital central member, but he was not satisfied with this and volunteered for activities within the framework of the Civil Guard, and he also helped Shalach teachers organize school trips. He was a sports enthusiast with outstanding skills in this field, especially in the field of light athletics, and was awarded certificates and prizes. When he was in ninth grade, he was sent to compulsory military service in early August 1992 and asked to volunteer for one of the elite units, but this was not possible and he was placed in the brigade Givati. Yigal fell during his service on the 12th of Tishrei 5753 (October 12, 1992) and was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Dimona. He left two parents, two sisters and three brothers – Carmela, Dafna, Ofer, Yishai and Hagai. The family established a Torah library to commemorate his memory. The news of his downfall was published in the daily press.
