Ashkenazi, Yosef

Yosef, son of Moshe and Sarah, Ashkenazi was born in Constantinople, Turkey on the 7th of Eyar, May 1, 1925. He studied in an elementary school there, worked in a cafe and later worked in the electrical profession. He served in the Turkish army for three years, Yosef immigrated to Israel in 1949 and immediately joined the IDF . He fell in the line of duty on the 1st of Sivan, 29.5.1949 and was brought to rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
