Ashkenazi, Shlomo

Son of Israel and Gracia. He was born on December 21, 1945 in Izmir, Turkey. At the age of four, the family immigrated to Israel. He completed his studies in an elementary school in Yehud and later in a vocational high school there. Worked in the frame profession. He belonged to “Maccabi” and was an exemplary footballer and thus concentrated all his energies and talents. Was also capable of concentrating youth. He was friendly, especially to his friends, who showed them a very cordial attitude. He was drafted into the IDF in May 1964, and out of love and joy he served the state, and on the 6 th of Kislev 5726 (30.11.1965) he fell while carrying out his duties with his friend, Eliahu Khalifa. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
