Asher, Herzl

Son of Malka and Yonatan, was born on July 14, 1958 in Sanandaj, Kurdistan region, in Persia. Herzl was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early February 1976 and was assigned to the infantry brigade in the Golani Brigade, after which he underwent a course for infantry commanders, then a paratroopers training course and a paratroopers instructor. He gave every student his personal needs, and the trainees who had difficulty devoting his time to bringing them to the proper level. On the 9th of Tevet 5741 (16.12.1980) Herzl fell and was buried in the cemetery in Rehovot, leaving behind a wife, a son, parents, two brothers and two sisters.
