As’ad, Samir


Son of Afifah and Muhammad. A member of the Druze community, a resident of the village of Beit Jann in the Galilee. Was born on February 1, 1961, the fifth of nine brothers and sisters. Samir began his studies at the elementary school in Beit Jann and finished at the agricultural high school in Rama. In November 1979, Samir was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces and served as an interpreter in the Military Advocate General’s Office in the Gaza Strip, where he expressed his desire to continue his career in the IDF in November 1982. In his request to extend He wrote the permanent service to Samir: “This is a disciplined soldier, capable of carrying out a variety of roles in accordance with his skills.” In March 1983, during a happy vacation, Samir disappeared and in May 1984 he was declared missing. The body of Samir from Lebanon, and the next day he was laid to rest in his family’s grave in Beit Ha’Av Gender village, Beit Jann. Is survived by his parents and eight brothers and sisters. His parents commemorated the memory of their village.
