Asa, David (“Dudi”)

Asa, David (“Dudi”)

Son of Avraham and Sheleg. He was born on the 17th of Tishrei 5711 (September 28, 1950) in Tel Aviv and began his studies at the Tel Aviv Education Center. David enlisted in the IDF at the end of September 1968, volunteered with his friends to serve in the Nahal Brigade, and left with the “Hakibbutz Hameuhad” nucleus for Nachal Golan. He used to go on tours with scientific expeditions all over Sinai and there was no place on the peninsula he did not visit and knew him well. A month later, he tried to convince various medical committees that he eventually managed to get approval for the parachuting course until he finished it, and then he was sent to the Habla course, where he continued to study and practice with enthusiasm and dedication as usual. On October 19, 1970, he fell in the course of his duties in the explosion of an enemy mine. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
