Asa, Amiram

Son of Yaakov and Rachel, members of Kibbutz Dorot since its establishment in 1941. Born on the 15th of Adar I 5708 (February 15, 1948) in the kibbutz, during the War of Independence, he grew up and was educated in the local school and the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional School In the agricultural school in Hadera he was a member of Hanoar Haoved and because of his passion for sports, especially swimming, he belonged to Hapo’el, where he established a youth swimming club. There were many difficulties before him during his service but he never complained. His name was also immortalized in the paratroopers’ album and in the album of the Harel Brigade. In the book “Bimkomim”, published by Union of the Kibbutzim and Kibbutzim in memory of the members of the Union who fell in the battle, a list was brought about him and his estate.
