Artel, Akiva

He was born in 1910 in Poland. He immigrated to Israel in 1948 on a Pan-York ship with no relatives in Israel and joined the IDF on July 10, 1948. He was seriously wounded during his vacation in a road accident in Petah Tikva and passed away on the 12th of Tammuz, (19 July 1948), at Beilinson Hospital. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Petah Tikva
