Arbust, Gershon


Son of Shlomo was born in 1927 in the city of Rakov, Czechoslovakia. He was educated and engaged in shoemaking. He spent the days of occupation and decrees in his native country, and after the liberation he aspired to immigrate to Israel. In 1947, when he was twenty, it was his turn. After settling in Petah Tikva he settled in Petah Tikva. Gershon enlisted in the War of Independence, served in the Alexandroni Brigade and participated in battles. On the 26th of Iyar 5708 (June 4, 1948), he fell in battle in the Kakun. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya.
