Arbel, Assaf


Ben Ehud and Chaya. He was born on September 20, 1946, in Kibbutz Ginosar. Assaf was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in August 1964. After completing basic training he was transferred to the Israel Air Force base in the north of Israel as a spare parts clerk and was a disciplined and obedient soldier who was responsible for his job. The Six-Day War broke out and Assaf was annexed to the Jerusalem Brigade and took part in the liberation of the Old City, where he married a wife in early 1971 and was born in 1973. He continued his studies at the Faculty of Agriculture in Rehovot and later received a master’s degree in agricultural economics. To work in the Ministry of Agriculture’s training service and was about to leave on a mission, on behalf of the Ministry During the Yom Kippur War, Assaf participated as a soldier in the Armored Corps in the Jordan Valley and crossed the Suez Canal on August 12, 1974. During an active reserve duty, Assaf fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the Rechovot cemetery-
