Aperion, Yehuda
Yehuda, son of Zehava and Shlomo Aperion, was born in 1925, in Petach Tikva. He graduated from an elementary school and worked in agricultural work. In the army, he took part in many foreign operations, and also worked in the Acre prison. He was a quiet, modest man. After the beginning of the Arab attack on the Jewish Yishuv, he retired from the underground and joined the Palmach, the Harel Brigade, and took part in the battles in the Jerusalem corridor. On the 10th of Tammuz 5708 (17.7.1948) he was killed in “Operation Danny” in the Battle of Beit Nuba, and on February 28, 1950, he was transferred to the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
