In November 1991, Yaron was drafted into the IDF for an aviation course and enjoyed every minute of his activity, and even when he was drafted into a navigators course, he was not sent off with the veteran pilots. He was professional in all his limbs, demanding of himself and meticulously implementing instructions, notes and lessons. Yaron was well integrated into the unit, felt comfortable and safe, and was glad to have arrived. He was an excellent navigator, thorough, standing under pressure, striving for perfection in performance, radiating security for his environment, with high motivation and values ​​of homeland and tradition. Love of the land and love of the homeland were fulfilled by the love of trips around the country on vacations and on Saturdays, alone or with many friends and friends. On the 10th of Av 5755 (August 10, 1995) Yaron fell in the course of his duties in an air accident. He was killed when his plane hit a land in Nahal Zinim in the Zin Valley, when he was on a routine training flight. The plane’s engine was hit by storks and exploded. The plane overturned and crashed to the ground. The plane’s pilot, Captain Ronen Lev, was killed. Yaron was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Hadera. He was twenty-two years old when he fell.
