Son of Rachel and Eliezer, was born on April 16, 1944, in India. He began to attend elementary school in Bombay, but at an early age he went to work as an electrician. In 1963 he immigrated to Israel with his parents and his family settled in Ashdod. In September 1964 he enlisted in compulsory military service in the Israel Defense Forces, underwent basic training and was assigned to serve in the armored infantry unit. At the end of his service, he went to civilian life and began working in a chemical factory in the production control lab. He married and built his home in Ashdod. From time to time he was called up for reserve duty. Fought in the Six-Day War, the Yom Kippur War, and the Peace for Galilee War. In 1975, while serving in the reserves, he was promoted to corporal, and during his last years served in the unit of the Israel Defense Forces in the reserves and served in security roles. On the 16th of Sivan 5755 (June 2, 1985) he was on security duty. At the end of his shift, he left his base, in the Yeruham area, to Dimona. On the way, Sta rode off the road and crashed into the truck in front of him. David was killed. Two other civilians were killed. He was 41 years old. He was laid to rest at the Ashdod military cemetery. He left behind a wife, three daughters, two sons, a mother, four sisters and three brothers. His name was engraved on a memorial plaque in the synagogue in his Ashdod neighborhood.
