Anavi, Ofir


Ben Dorit and Aryeh. He was born on January 1, 1977 in Holon, the eldest son of his parents, and his sister, Evelyn, and his brother, Ronen, were born in Holon to the age of 14, when he moved to Nesher, near Haifa. In the Comprehensive High School in Nesher, Ophir went to study at the IAF Technical School in Haifa, where he graduated from high school and continued for 13 and 14 years in the field of electronics and airplanes, while Ophir excelled in everything he did during his short life. He nurtured friendships with his contemporaries and forged honest and courageous relationships with them while maintaining the values ​​of honesty and help to others he had been educated on. Ophir was very fond of rhythmic dance music, and during his free time was involved in various sports activities, mainly soccer and basketball, he trained as a Maccabi Haifa team and was a devoted supporter of this group. He was assigned to the Air Force base by profession. Ophir served to the satisfaction of his commanders, and at the end of three years of compulsory military service, he planned to continue his career in the IDF. On August 21, 1999, Ophir fell in the line of duty. He was twenty-two years old when he fell. Ophir was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Haifa. Survived by his parents, sister and brother.
