Amsalem, Amnon
Son of Aliza and Masoud. Amnon was born in Morocco on 15 Tammuz 5708 (December 15, 1948). He is a member of a family with thirteen children. He immigrated with his parents to Israel and the family lived in Be’er Sheva. Amnon studied at elementary schools in Be’er Sheva and continued his studies at the Tadmor Hotel in Herzliya. Until his enlistment in the IDF, he worked in various hotels, including sports, soccer, swimming, basketball and karate, and volunteered for the Civil Guard, where he served in the IDF until 15.12.1988, As part of the Yom Kippur War (1973), Amnon married Sarah, who describes him as a Simcha person in part, and on March 7, 1979, Amnon Amnon was killed in a car accident near his place of service, Facility 301 in the north. He was run over by a car while he was crossing the road and was transferred to Rambam Hospital for treatment, but he died there, Amnon was thirty-one years old, three months after he was drafted into the Border Police. He was buried in the cemetery in Nahariya. He left a wife – Sarah, and two children – Nadav Shalom and Carmit. Amnon’s name was commemorated by his wife by donating a curtain to the synagogue in Shlomi.
