Amit grew up in Carmiel, studied at the Moriah State Religious School and the Amit Religious Secondary School, and completed his high school studies at the “Pirchi Aharon” High School in Kiryat Shmuel, where he was a friend and friend, loved by everyone After completing his high school studies, before he enlisted in the IDF, he studied for one year at Yeshivat Or Or Yeshua in Neve Sha’anan, Haifa. In preparation for his military service in a combat unit, he trained during the year in the “Recruitment Unit”. Amit was recruited on 24 November 2002 to the Golani reconnaissance unit, the elite unit of the Golani Brigade, which he dreamed of arriving in high school. He was trained as a combatant and took part in many operations and operations. After completing his regular service he continued his career as a weapons officer in the Egoz unit. The army and the defense establishment were always at the top of Amit’s mind. Amit planned and carried out large and important projects for the units he served in and for the benefit of the IDF’s combat system. He also dealt with developing weapons and adapting them to the changing needs of the fighters in the field. In many cases, he saved the weapons he obtained for various operations. Amit showed great professionalism, always striving to obtain weapons of the first rank and high capabilities, far beyond the demand at that moment in the unit and the IDF. In all cases he succeeded, even after a long time. He performed his duties with love and devotion and with concern for his soldiers and for the unit. He was very sensitive to needy and weak people, and anyone who reached out to charity and help responded with a smile and generosity, even if it was the last penny in his pocket. During his studies, he participated regularly in social activities and volunteered to donate to various organizations such as Akim, the Israel Cancer Association, etc. His numerous connections with donors from abroad and from Israel and with the giants of the Israeli defense industry in his role as an artillery officer did not dull his sensitivity to the needy Whether in the words of a member of the staff who asked for a favor or whether it was a person he met at random on the street. He always returned with surprise to his parents and brothers. During his studies at the “Farhi Aharon” yeshiva and at the hesder yeshiva in Haifa, he used to visit his grandmother every week and help her. Amit had a great love for the Torah. Despite the intensity of his role, he found time during the week to study Torah and participate in classes. Shabbat was a magnet for “filling batteries” spiritual for the week. At the Sabbath meals he would say words of Torah and express wonderful and profound ideas that combined current events. He loved Torah study and Gemara issues that interested him, and he studied various subjects in Judaism that he wanted to study and study together with his brother, Yogev. All Amit did was done with total humility and modesty, to the extent that he refrained from telling about his actions and the things he had accomplished. It was this quality that captivated the people you worked for, who later (and sometimes at first sight) became friends with heart and soul, despite the age gap. Amit fell in the line of duty on 9 April 2007 at the age of 24. He was buried in the military section of the Karmiel cemetery and was survived by his parents and two brothers Yogev and Idan, grandparents and many family and friends. Lt. Col.
