Amram, Albert


Son of Yitzhak and Rosin. He was born on 28.11.1956 in Casablanca, Morocco. Immigrated to Israel with his sister in 1969. He studied at the Aloni Yitzhak boarding school in Pardes Hanna. He completed his studies at Ironi Tet High School in Tel Aviv. In Casablanca Albert was known as a smiling, playful child. At an early age, he showed an interest in Judaism and Zionism, and after a while he was determined to make aliyah. He was followed by his parents. As part of Youth Aliyah, Albert was admitted to the Aloni Yitzhak Institute, where he was discovered as a friendly, entrepreneurial and sportsman. In high school he was in the soccer and basketball teams, and even represented his school in these industries. As a member of Hanoar Hatzioni, he joined the “Snapir” nucleus, which was designated for Moshav De-Zahav. Albert was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in mid-September 1975. During his tenure as the “Kochav Hashachar”, Albert was chosen as an outstanding soldier and was awarded the honor of then-President Ephraim Katzir, who served as a parachutist in the 50th Battalion. On the 17th of Elul 5737 (19.8.1977) he fell during his service, was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul and left behind his parents and four sisters.In a letter of condolences to the bereaved family, the commander of his unit wrote: A key in the life of the unit, loved to help others and was admired by his commanders and friends alike. “
