Amoyal, Inbal

Inbal, daughter of Pulat and Shimon Amoyal, was born in 1984 in Dimona. Inbal enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces and after completing her army service, she began her undergraduate studies in Criminology at Bar-Ilan University, where she graduated with honors and continued her MA studies in criminology and practical work at the Israel Prison Service. On 25 Kislev, 2.12.2010, a fire broke out in the Carmel Forest, the Carmel Disaster, the largest fire of its kind in Israel’s history. A decision was made to evacuate the prisons. The bus transporting the prison personnel and prisoners caught fire. Forty-four men and women perished in the fire. Thirty-seven of them were cadets of the prison officers’ course and the course’s commanders, the bus driver, three firemen and three police officers. Inbal was twenty-six years old when she fell. She is buried in the military cemetery in Dimona. Survived by parents, three brothers and a sister.
