Amitai, Eitan

Son of Aharon and Tzvia. He was born on 27.2.1956 in Argentina, when his parents were there on a mission. He studied at the Weizmann elementary school in Herzliya and completed high school in the practical engineering department in Ramat Aviv. Eitan was drafted into the Air Force in July 1974, completed a course in aviation, a navigational course and a parachuting course, and in January 1976 he joined the regular army. Eitan fell in the line of duty during training, on the 14th of Adar 5739 (March 12, 1979). He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Herzliya. Survived by his parents and two sisters. Eitan was promoted to captain after he fell.
