Amit, Smadar


Daughter of Miriam and Aryeh, was born on May 17, 1970 in Kiryat Tivon. Sister to Yochai, Efrat and Yariv. A lively and vibrant girl whose endless laughter enchanted all her acquaintances and lovers. When she was 5 years old, she discovered a genetic disease that caused severe pain and hurt the bones of her legs. Smadar did not allow the disease to hurt her development and despite all the difficulties she played, studied, spent and engaged in her hobbies, even more than any ordinary child. From the age of 4 she was an excellent swimmer and only her foot injury caused her to stop swimming. She completed her studies in Kiryat Tivon through the kindergarten, the Kiryat Amal elementary school and the Ort Greenberg high school, where she completed her matriculation certificate. Her biology thesis was prepared with the help of the professors who treated her. Samadi, a sociable girl who loved to spend time, maintained connections with friends from all walks of life and was active in the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed movement. Samadi had many hobbies: she liked to wander around the shops and shop, love cooking and baking according to recipes she invented, sewing in self-learning, and especially love painting. The painting was the soul of Samadi, who was a gifted painter with innate talent. She studied painting at the Art Center at the Tivon Community Center, under the guidance of Nona Orbach, Naama Uri and Yael Gilat, who studied in the studio of Nona Orbach during the years 1990-89, and was the most beautiful of her life, when she flourished. She was full of optimism, willpower, wisdom and wisdom. Nothing was an obstacle to her, especially if she was able to experience something new or to contribute to society, and on crutches she volunteered for a Nahal art group in Mitzpeh Ramon and stayed there for three months. She also did not give up military service in order to enlist. On 23 March 1989, she volunteered for the IDF, and because of her high grades, she was accepted into an Intelligence course in the Navy, a position that no volunteer has ever attended, and after a year and a half in her military service, Smadar fell to her deathbed. (22.9.1990) and is twenty years old. Cpl. Smadar Amit was buried in the Kiryat Tivon cemetery and left behind her parents, two brothers and a sister, and her younger brother, Yariv, was killed in a car accident on September 29, 1993. Smadi left behind dozens of large paintings The artist’s paintings have been praised by expert artists, and these paintings are now hanging in the homes of her family and friends, and all those who observe them note the great power that emanates from them: Ido and Uzi write to Samadi’s parents: “This gift is given to you in a lot of love and a lot of pleasant and painful memories, but mainly with a heart full of love We had a special increase of Samedi in her life, she left her fingerprints us. Her acquaintance with her was a rare event in the intensity of emotion, in the burst of youth, in the rising optimism and joy of life, of which we had to be partners. “In the light of the optimism she has radiated throughout her life, we will always remember Smadi, smiling, loving, laughing and good-humored.”
