Amit, Michal

Daughter of Esther and Yair, was born in Safed on May 20, 1961. Michal enlisted in the IDF in late 1979. After basic training, she was assigned to the Paratroopers Brigade and served in the Sannor paramilitary brigade, but her desire was to arrive at a combat unit, and after a few months her ambition was fulfilled. On the patrol route between the outposts on the Golan Heights, she was killed. Michal fell while fulfilling her duties, on the 16th of Sivan 5740 (31.5.1980). She was laid to rest in the cemetery in Kfar Yehoshua. Michal left behind her parents, a brother, two sisters, grandparents.
