Amir, Ehud (“Udi”)
Son of Shmuel and Mira. He was born on September 2, 1955 in Tel Aviv. When he was soft in the years, his family moved to Jerusalem, and in this city he grew up and grew up. Udi studied in the Geolim and Henrietta Szold primary schools and graduated from the secondary school in the biological-real-world track. Ehud was drafted into the IDF in early 1973 and volunteered for the Artillery Corps, where he underwent various courses and served in various positions: he was a field gunner, a commander of the General Staff, and a graduate of a technical-technical course. In his last position he served as a battery commander. On the day of Tu B’Av 5736 (August 11, 1976), Ehud fell in the line of duty. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Survived by his parents, brother and sister. “In his long period of service in the rampart, he raised and trained a battery, which to this day serves as a model and an example,” the commander said in a letter of condolence to the family. With dedication and thoroughness, he introduced the professional knowledge and the exemplary spirit that characterized him. After a half-year break in which he worked as a cadet, Udi returned to the battery and this time as a commander, with the goal of giving his experience to people who cultivated and believed in them … Fate prevented him from seeing the fruits he cultivated.
