Boaz, son of Deborah and Naftali, was born on July 17, 1954, in Haifa. He completed his elementary studies at Oranim School in Ramat Aviv, where he moved from the Magen School in Maoz Aviv. Afterward, he graduated from high school in Tel Aviv. During his elementary years, he was a member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed movement in Ramat Aviv. After a while, he was a member of “Hapoel” Ramat Aviv. One of Boaz’s favorites was the sea. He loved its expenses, the swimming, and the recreation on the beach. But these did not satisfy his love for the sea, and he sailed far and wide. Boaz loved nature and the country and toured it all along. Apart from these, he also loved riding, and he also found leisure. He knew how to be a good friend, and most of all he loved his friends and the social activity he shared with them. In this activity he excelled diligently and willingly to help, both in performing tasks for the common good and in helping each one of his friends, so he made many friends and lovers who were loyal to him – and he was loyal to them. His outward appearance-his curly hair, his green, alert eyes, and shy smile-attracted and admired the girls’. Boaz never made an effort to stand out in society – he stood out naturally, by virtue of his appearance, his personality and his honest reactions. He was simple in all his ways and never arrogant. He was cheerful and sensitive, and he always knew how to do everything naturally, without acting and pretending to make an impression. He believed in what he did and his power was in the integrity and credibility of his personality. He never wasted his time and knew how to take advantage of every moment of action, both for himself and for others, with his by being happy with his accomplishments. He knew how to make the best of all things. He could promote any concern, any problem or fear, believing in the ability of a person to endure all the hardships of his will and the power of his faith. That’s why his friends have almost never seen him sad. He was always cheerful and happy. The two qualities he had defined in his way of life were honesty and love for others-a love based on the willingness to give and do for others as best he could. At school he was not a great follower of regular studies in the classroom, and he always preferred to stay outdoors, in the free air, in nature, and to do things that seemed to him more important, both for himself and for the public. Boaz was drafted into the IDF at the beginning of August 1972. At the beginning of his military career, his mind was clear and he decided to volunteer for the Golani reconnaissance unit, and after he was injured in his legs he was taken to the air force and sent to Abu-Rhodes. He served in combat units as a more fulfilling duty, as well as a greater personal challenge and a better way to achieve his abilities and to enrich his personality. In the Yom Kippur War, Boaz served in his unit, which was stationed at Abu-Rhodes in the Sinai. (10.10.1973), Boaz was hit and killed in the bombing of the enemy planes on his base, he was brought to eternal rest in Beit Elami The military commander in Kiryat Shaul, left behind his parents and brother, and was promoted to the rank of sergeant, and his parents published a pamphlet in his memory of things friends said about his character and his work during his various years of life. Where he studied, as well as a memorial to those who fell from the Maoz Aviv school in Maoz Aviv, the management, the teachers and the staff at the Bar Kokhba school in Tel Aviv, where his mother worked as secretary of the school planted trees for his memorie.
