Amedi, Yoram
Yoram, son of Rivka and Nahum, was born on 29 August 1955 in Jerusalem. He completed his elementary studies at the Ussishkin School in Jerusalem. Afterward he completed his high school studies at the Ort vocational school in Jerusalem in the framework of frameworks. Yoram was a backward neighborhood in Jerusalem, where there were not many boys studying. He had many temptations to spend, to work with money on his side and even to a life of crime – but Yoram, thanks to his strong will and deep faith in the straight path, managed to maintain a decent life, regular studies and the life of a law-abiding boy. His desire to reach a good and well-founded future and to be able to build on his own led him to choose his way of life. This way of life did not make him cut off from the rest of the neighborhood boys, and he became friends with his neighbors and his peers. He had many friends in the neighborhood, and he served as a model for his behavior. Both adults and young people saw it as a role model and a testimony to the possibility of succeeding in life even when conditions are not very good. His faith in the path he had chosen led him to make contact with the members of his neighborhood who had descended into crime, and he tried to encourage them, to bring them closer and help them get on the straight path. He was a member of the youth home in his neighborhood and saw it as his second home. He would spend the day at the youth house and contribute as best he could. He also saw in the Youth House a framework that would help those who had walked away from the path of the law, and therefore tried to bring them closer to the house and to the activity that was being carried out there. Yoram was very fond of sports activities, and even excelled at this – especially in the fields of soccer and basketball. His activity at the Youth House revealed another characteristic of his – a talent and talent in the field of works of art. He mainly worked in ceramics, leather and copper, and his Yaffa works adorn the walls of the youth home. He spent most of his free time in constant work – in the fields of art and sports, in the field of social activity at the youth home and in the home help field. At school he was an outstanding student. He was awarded only a prize, an Air Force book, and a certificate of excellence, signed by the examiners. After graduating from high school and starting his army service, Yoram began to work in frameworks, mainly because he wanted to practice in a profession that would enable him to earn a living in the future. Armored Corps. After completing basic training, he was assigned as a truck driver in an armored unit, and during the Yom Kippur War Yoram took part in the fierce battles that took place in the Sinai in an effort to stop the Egyptian attacks on October 22, 1973, “A clutch” near the bridges on the banks of the Suez Canal, and was brought to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl, leaving behind his parents, brothers and sisters.
