Amau, Mordechai

Son of Baruch and Sarah. He was born in Purim in Syria in 1932. He studied at the “Kol Yisrael Haverim” school, and in 1942 he went to the “Youth Aliya” And studied until 1946. He was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement and had a great love for music, worked in the paper-bag factory and supported his elderly parents who remained in Damascus, and on the 29th of Shevat 5712 (29.1.1952) he fell in the line of duty and was brought to rest – They live in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
