Amar, Abraham
Son of Shalom and Joy. Born in 1944 in Tunis, Morocco, he immigrated to Israel in 1956. He found his life as a building contractor, and after serving in the IDF, he proved himself to be a disciplined soldier and ready to help others. From time to time he went to reserve duty and until his last moments he performed his duties fearlessly and with dedication and Ehud was with all his friends and commanders. On the first day of the battles of the Six-Day War, he was 26 Iyar 5727 (5.6.1967), fell in battle in Abu Tor during the shelling. He left a wife and three small children. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. In the booklet “One Gray Battalion” his name was immortalized. In the bulletin of the Beit Shemesh Local Council, his memory was raised.
