Moshe, son of Margalit and Eliyahu, was born on May 22, 1951, in Hadera. Shortly before his birth, his parents immigrated to Israel from Iraq and after his birth settled in Jerusalem. Moshe was drafted into the IDF in August 1969 and assigned to the Armored Corps, but he never dreamed of serving in the navy, but when he did not succeed, he decided to give his full strength to the Armored Corps. Although he did his best, he did not provide him with his army service, but he was not negligent in his service, and his commanders remember him as a reliable soldier who performed his role impeccably. For long hours of training and for the difficult periods of service on the front lines And the physical distance from the house only increased the mutual love, admiration, and respect that the family members had for one another. After he was released from regular service, Moshe began to study at the Hebrew University, in the economics and political science departments, and in order to live independently and independently, he immediately began to work for the Income Tax Commission and thus managed to support himself. He had many plans for the future, but before he was assigned to a reserve unit, the Yom Kippur War broke outYom Kippur and interrupted all plans. When the war broke out, Moshe showed up at the assembly point of the Armored Corps, without being summoned to enlist. He participated in the battles in the Golan Heights and in the battles of the Syrian formation in the Mazra’at Beit Jann sector. On October 15, 1973, he was hit and killed by a direct hit, when the enemy shelled our forces. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery on Mount Herzl. Survived by his parents and brother. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal.
