Altman, Yehuda (Kurt)


Was born on July 7, 1930 in Berlin. In August 1937 he emigrated to Israel with his parents. Yehuda studied at the BILU school in Tel Aviv and was active in the Bnei Akiva movement and was known among his friends as a man of letters, Torah and culture, and his friends used to call him “the suffering of the books.” After a period of work as an electrician and ” And joined the Biriya group and joined the army in the Golani Brigade, which was active in the Upper Galilee and the Negev, on the 8th of Kislev 5709 (December 8, 1948), fell in battle near Kibbutz Nirim in the Negev. He was temporarily buried in the borders and later transferred to his kibbutz, which he loved, to Biriya in the Upper Galilee.
