Alter, Issachar

Son of Sarah-Rivka and Menahem was born on the 7th of Tamuz, July 1, 1933 in Tel Aviv to pious parents from Germany. At the outbreak of the War of Independence, he participated as a machine gunner in the Irgun attack on Ramle. On the 23rd of Iyar 5708 (June 1, 1948), he was injured when retreating from his front position and died of his wounds. Issachar was laid to rest in Nachalat Yitzhak military cemetery.
