Altepiro, Michael

Ben Rima and Alexei. Was born on 10.4.1982 in the city of Kishinev in Moldova, which had previously belonged to the Soviet Union. Michael was named after his two grandparents. He began to speak early, and since he had a hard time at first saying certain letters, every word he said was unique and brought many smiles to the family, who still remember the funny and unique speech that characterized Michael when he was tender. In the kindergarten, Michael turned out to be a shy and quiet child, who loved to listen to children’s song records, sat like a hypnotist for hours and listened intently. He loved playing plasticine and painting cars and airplanes, although Mother and Grandmother’s birthday always managed to surprise him with a flower vase and hearts. At night Michael fell asleep only when Mother read or told him a story. Michael studied in Russia until the second grade and in 1990 immigrated to Israel with his parents, his grandmother and his brother Stav, who was then 3 years old. In Israel, Michael began to study in the Alonim elementary school in the third grade, and continued in the agricultural school in Pardes Hannah. Michael was a diligent, intelligent and thorough student. He completed high school with a full matriculation certificate in the computerization and control program. “Michael was the quietest student in the class, but one of the best in it,” said Israel, Michael’s educator, “but I remember him sitting quietly, very attentive to what the teacher was saying, and he was very fond of the teachers and instructors who taught him … “Michael grew up and became a quiet, modest young man, sometimes withdrawn with his friends. Among his family, Michael Habib was free and free, charming with his shy smile and his roaring and infectious laugh, curious about every new thing he met. Michael was very fond of animals, from an early age there were always animals around him, even when he stayed at the base to keep at night, he found a puppy to carry the guard with. He had two dogs in a house that was crazy about them, and he used to feed the dogs in the neighborhood, so they were still hanging around his house, even now that Michael was gone. His great passion was reading. From an early age he ‘swallowed’ whole books for a few hours. At first it was children’s books and later more serious books. As he matured, Michael studied geography, astronomy and history, along with thriller and science fiction novels he loved. Despite the great knowledge he had acquired from the books, he never felt compelled to impose his opinion on others, but when asked, he was always able to surprise a correct and precise answer. As a tribute to his excellence in history studies, he received a medal from the teacher. Michael liked to look at the sky, his familiarity with the planets, the galaxies, and the universe that enveloped us, always fascinated his family and acquaintances. Michael had a great memory of the details that interested him, geography books knew many facts about the globe, countries, capitals, borders, size, population, history and more. The Guinness Book of Records, with all its records, fascinated Michael, and he knew many of these heights by heart. Michael loved sports, he spent hours training in the gym in muscle development and physical fitness, and indeed grew into an athletic boy, strong, muscular and beautiful. Michael’s great love was soccer. The game was all his life, he was an expert in the field, knew all the teams and their vehicles. Despite its quiet character, the walls of the house trembled when his beloved group Liverpool won or lost. When he stayed on duty at the base, he called his brother Stav and asked for an update of all the sports news in the world. In October 2000, Michael enlisted in the IDF, and after his basic training was assigned to serve as a non-commissioned officer at the Na’ura base near Afula. Recalls Michael’s commander, Hanoch Moalem Yoss”Michael was a responsible and disciplined soldier, I trusted him … I was able to leave everything for a few days, and he did everything perfectly … He was very intelligent and a little shy … When we learned that Michael was killed, we were all in shock.” On Wednesday, On March 20, 2002, Michael boarded the Egged bus on line 823. Every morning, a suicide bomber, who was wearing an explosive belt, boarded the same bus, Staff Sergeant Shimon Edrei, Corporal Aharon Revivo, Alon Goldenberg, Magus Mehartu and Bella Schneider. After his fall, Michael was promoted to sergeant. He was buried that day in the military cemetery in Pardes Hannah. Survived by his parents and brother. It seems that our house still breathes you, your footsteps are heard on the stairs, your voice speaks to us from every corner and room, your face looks at us and your laughter reverberates between the walls, but you are not here, we only have memories, pictures , A little bag you dated with that awful morning, and lots of questions and dreams about how good it would be if you did not wake up in time and after that bloody bus … “His mother recalls:” His twentieth birthday took place about three weeks after his death. What to buy him for such an important event, it was a problem, he never asked for anything, I did not imagine that his gift would be a death certificate, We filed an ironic aspect rather on his birthday on April 10 “. His father adds: “Every time I come to the cemetery, the image of Michael looks up to me and stands opposite me and I feel that here I and Michael are returning together, he opens the door and enters the house, as if what was a bad dream is so close to us, And so far. ” “I see Michael ‘s grave and just can not believe that my brother’ s name appears on the gravestone … I miss him so much and the days we spent together, only me and him, happy together, sad together, doing everything. Together, and now I was alone and my brother was taken away. ” Anna, his cousin, writes: “Dear Michael, I wanted to say thank you for growing up with me, playing with me in all the stupid games I invented, for having always trusted me no matter what, for laughing with me and giving me so many beautiful childhood memories I wanted you to know that I will always remember your charming smile and the childish innocence that made you so special. ” His friends, Yair Azizi and Guy Samge, write: “Our world makes no sense, and everyone who is good rises to the top.” You are Michael, too, and hope that at least there is no suffering there. We now swear to you / Liverpool will enter into the soul. ” On the website of the Liverpool football team, the story of Michael, the burnt-out fan, who changed his shift with a friend to go home and watch the team’s game, was killed in the attack on his way back to the base. Michael, blessed be He, fell in defense of the land of his forefathers, to which he came up as a child and so loved. His mother says: “Our house is filled with pictures of Michael, here he is a lovely baby, and here is a five year old with a smile from ear to ear. Here he went to first grade and here he graduated from high school. A smiling novice embraces Mom and Dad at the graduation ceremony. We miss you, our beloved children, your charming and special smile, we love you, you are in our soul and our breath every day, we will always remember you.
