Alteim, Moshe-Manfred (“Mickey”)


Son of Customs and Antonia. He was born on January 4, 1945, in the city of Czernowitz in Russia (Bukovina). The family immigrated to Israel in 1959. He loved sports and as a young man was the champion in table tennis at the high school in Beit Hakerem where he studied. He also founded this branch in Hapoel Jerusalem. After graduating from high school, he studied economics and statistics at the Tel Aviv branch of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. After completing his regular service he continued in the career army and served in the air force. On the 7th of Adar 5727 (March 7, 1967), he died of his illness and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
