Son of Aslan and Janet. He was born on September 5, 1955 in Kfar Shalem, south of Tel Aviv. From there the family moved to Kiryat Shalom. He attended elementary school at the Remez School in Tel Aviv. Jacob was a handsome-looking, kind child, loved by all the family and neighbors. He read the Bible stories and lived in his imagination in the world of the Bible, and at the young age he stood out in his good spirit, which was always his favorite, and he was the favorite of the teachers and friends of the school. By working on vacations – who would not have to ask them for money to spend his time in. There was a club in the vicinity of his home where the local youth gathered and Yaakov was the driving force of the group and organized parties and sports competitions, Indicating that he reached second place in the school championship in the area We continued to study because of the economic situation at home and he began to work in various workplaces in order to earn a living and help his family. After basic training, he was trained as a truck driver, and the committee was assigned to work in the parachuting and flying school unit. The commander of the unit: “I knew him as a soldier in the unit, and he caught my attention in his booming voice, which was in total contradiction to his physical proportions. In the course of our joint work, I knew only satisfaction and contentment: He was a person who did not speak very much, but when he was talked about, he was able to express himself as an adult, and his words Were full of content and testified to life experience. ” Jacob was very satisfied with his work in the army. But it did not last long. On February 26, 1975, he was injured in an accident and he fell while carrying out his duties. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. Survived by his parents, five sisters and three brothers. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “Jacob was a symbol of quiet and patience, cheerfulness and self-sacrifice, which accompanied him wherever he went, fulfilling his role perfectly – responsibly and cautiously.
