Aloni, Shaul
Son of Nissan and Haviva. He was born on October 3, 1947 in Teheran, Iran. Immigrated to Israel in 1949 with his family, who settled in Moshav Maslul in the Negev. He studied at the elementary school in the moshav and completed his studies at the Kinneret group, where he moved to live as a child at the age of 12. Shaul was an alert boy, very fond of nature, traveled a lot and found a great deal of independence. The group bought him many friends and saw this period as the best time of his life. At age 16 he returned to his family, who moved to Tel Aviv. He began to work and help support the extended family, completing his studies in evening classes at the Ort vocational school in Ramat Gan, in the framework of frameworks. Shaul was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in mid-February 1965. He completed his military service as a sergeant, volunteered for the career army and served there until his dying day, He was effective in his work, orderly and disciplined in his behavior. In 1974, Saul married Lida, and three years later he was killed while serving in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, leaving behind a wife, parents, three sisters and two children. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander writes: “Saul was a model soldier and commander, and despite all the medical restrictions he fulfilled every task he was given.” His parents donated a Torah scroll to the Givat Raphael synagogue, The memory of the Achdut Synagogue in the Hatikva neighborhood, whose wife, Lida, commemorated him in the lighted memorial lamp in the Olii Iran synagogue in Pardes Katz.
