Aloni (Morocnik), Arieh

Arieh, son of Rivka and Yosef, was born on November 10, 1952 in Kibbutz Dan, to Yosef Feinberg, one of the leaders of the First Aliya and the founder of Rishon Letzion, and his father, Yosef Aloni. He studied at the “Tze’elim” elementary school in Be’er Sheva and then graduated from the Boyer High School in Jerusalem (a biological trend), and was a lover of poetry and wrote many poems himself. He liked to travel around the country, while the trips offered him the opportunity to learn new things and to be alone, but he also had the ability to make contact with friends. Aryeh was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in mid-November 1970. He did not like life in the army and even found it hard to adapt to military discipline, but for tasks he thought were important, Haim, was awarded a medal for his work on the battlefield from where he did not return on October 8, 1973. In April 1975, his body was returned to the village of “Kfar” on the banks of the Suez Canal, Aryeh was brought to eternal rest in the military section of the cemetery in Be’er Sheva. After his fall, his parents received, among other things, the following letter of condolence: “I was the teacher of math mathematics in grades 9, 10, 11. I have no way of comforting you. The purpose of writing this letter is to tell you that one of Aryeh’s teachers remembers him with special affection, because he was a wonderful person, and with special admiration, because he was the wisest of my students … “
