Aloni, Boaz


Ben Yael and Shaul, was born on February 18, 1959, in Ramat Gan. Boaz was drafted into the IDF in July 1977 and volunteered to serve in the infantry brigade of the Paratroopers Brigade, after which he underwent a course and became a combat paramedic. In every unit where he served, he was loved and accepted by friends, because of his honesty and his willingness to help others, both in advice and in action. On the 9th of Av 5739 (August 9, 1979), Sergeant Boaz fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. A brother and two sisters, wrote his condolences to the bereaved family: “Boaz began his career in the IDF as a volunteer for the paratroopers, and after completing his combat paramedics course and basic training he joined his battalion in training and operational activities. He successfully completed the parachuting course and the course commanders’ course, after which he was among those chosen to return to the battalion and was assigned to a company as a paramedic, and his friends and commanders will remember him as a professional medic and soldier.
