Alon, Shlomo


Son of Bulisa and Reuven. He was born in 1922 in Jerusalem, where he completed an elementary school for boys and later completed high school at the Hebrew Gymnasium and was active in the Betar youth movement and during the 1936-1939 riots he volunteered to serve as a ” Jordanian border. Among his friends and acquaintances he was known as a kindhearted boy, dedicated and loyal to his movement and ideals and a true friend of his friends. After the outbreak of World War II, he enlisted in the British Army. When the Jewish Brigade was established in September 1944, he was assigned to a transport unit, and after a training period he moved with the Brigade to the Italian front. His comrades in the unit remember him as a courageous soldier and stick to the tasks he was assigned. On December 11, 1944, he was killed in a car accident in Italy. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Rome. Lay down parents, brother and sister. An investigation conducted in 2017 found that his resting place was in Ravenna, Italy.
