Alon, Meir

Son of Miriam and Amram. Meir was born in Israel on July 11, 1957. Meir joined the IDF as a combat soldier in the Border Police, and at the end of the regular service he signed for five years, and he was very fond of serving the country and helping others. Meir fell in the service of his country on 19 Iyar (5.5.1980). He was laid to rest in the Tel Mond cemetery and left a mother, brothers and sisters. A Torah scroll was added to the synagogue in Moshav Ein Sarid, which was written in memory of Meir, and a Meir library was established at the base of the Jerusalem Border Police.
