He settled in Kibbutz Shoval and Haim, He joined elementary school and high school in Kibbutz Shoval, and when he was in elementary school he became interested in classical music and began to study music In the violin, and later chose the trombone and joined the orchestra that was active in his school, and also played in the Kibbutz Orchestra, a merger of a serious and introverted person, He had a strong sense of affection for animals, raised and cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, weasels, chicks, white mice, etc. This brought him to work in the cowshed, He was a youth friend and member of his kibbutz, and was a friend and friend of his students who loved him for his direct approach and for the rich and varied activities he had planned and organized for them. He had very developed technical skills. He was interested in writing, photography and filming. The many photographs he left behind and a large collection of letters to his family and friends attest to a sensitive soul and a developed sense of beauty and aesthetics. Haim was drafted into the IDF in early February 1972 and volunteered for the Armored Corps reconnaissance unit, after which he underwent an armored reconnaissance course and successfully completed a reconnaissance course. He was sent to serve in a reconnaissance company of the Armored Corps in the Sinai, and was scheduled to leave for an officer’s course. The Yom Kippur War found its unit blocking the Egyptian army forces crossing the Suez Canal and trying to break into the Sinai. On the first day of the war, on October 6, 1973, in the battle that developed in the vicinity of the Mitla junction and the Suez Canal axis, the commanding APC was damaged. The company commander and two other soldiers were killed on the spot and Haim was seriously injured, and his friends searched for them for hours under fire, and Haim was transferred to a hospital on the night of 11 October 1973. He was brought to rest, He left his parents and brother, and was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant, and at the meeting of his comrades-in-arms after his funeral, the unit commander said: “I, the new company commander, joined the company about half a year after the war. I recently had to prepare the funerals of the fallen, I had to collect six comrades in arms, carrying a cabinet of the same rank, and I had no trouble getting them, because everyone wanted to come, I was talking about him in an eulogy that was written for me, and now that I have heard you, things have become clear to me and I know exactly why the people made an effort and wanted to get to the shoval “He said.
