Aloe, Jacob (“Kabbi”)

Aloe, Jacob (“Kabbi”)

Son of George (rebel) and Hela. He was born on December 21, 1937 in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. From childhood he had never known happiness, and even in his smallness, he had given the family a poor financial position. He immigrated to Israel in 1951. He attended the “Yavneh” school in Tel Aviv and continued at the “Shevach” vocational school, which was very pleasant and showed tendencies to cultivate animals (especially pigeons and hens) ) He was a member of the “Hapoel” and worked in the “Dan” garage and managed to get his family out of the ma’abara and find a roof over the city in which he enlisted in the army (October 1955). During his service on the day of Tu B’Shvah (19.11.1956), he was seriously injured and died of his wounds, and was brought to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
