Herzl, son of Ivonne and David, was born on 28.10.1955 in Casablanca, Morocco, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1956. He attended the Ye’elim Elementary School in Be’er Sheva and grew up in this city. He was an active member of the Gadna Rifle Brigade in Be’er Sheva and one of the best scenes among the city’s youth, and since his childhood, Herzl has had a tendency to paint, and he has often painted – not only on paper but also on leather and processed wood. He studied at the Beer-Sheva High School and studied for a year at the Air Force Technical School in Haifa, specializing in aircraft mechanics, And studied at the navy’s semi-annual boarding school in Haifa, Herzl was drafted into the IDF in early March 1973 and assigned to the Navy, having undergone a pre-military training course at the semi-annual boarding school of Hai Sea. He was certified as a naval radar and was stationed on a Dabur at the Red Sea. When the Yom Kippur War broke out, Herzl was placed on his ship on October 7, 1973, during a naval battle in the enemy’s harbor at Marasa-Telemut In the northern Gulf of Suez, Herzl wanted to replace a friend by operating a machine gun on the ship, and he was brought to the eternal rest of the cemetery in Be’er Sheva, leaving behind his parents, three brothers and a sister.in a letter of condolence written to the bereaved family: “His willingness and courage and fighting spirit testified that he had been adamantly attached to the missions of his unit. When I visited your home, I understood from where Herzl got his good education and strong spirit. “
