Alkobi, Zion


Son of Shalom and Hannah. He was born in 1950 in Fez, Morocco, and immigrated with his family to Israel in 1952. He studied at the Ahad Ha’am elementary school and the Arlosoroff School in Hadera and at the Neurim High School and spent his free time dividing between two hobbies – Soccer and music, and he listened to records and guitar notes, and Zion was drafted into the IDF in mid-May 1968 and was assigned to the Armored Corps. On the 24th of Iyar 5730 (30.5.1970), he fell on the banks of the Suez Canal in an encounter with the enemy ambush. He was laid to rest in the Hadera cemetery. His name and picture are presented in the booklet “Company L” is released.
