Algam, Shalom (Sherley)
Son of Rachel and Gabriel. Shalom was born on the 12th of Tishrei, October 14, 1959. Was the fourth child in the family, with a brother and three sisters. It was a family that knew no shortage of warmth and love, the parents knew how to divide them into every child. Shalom was referred to as a family called “Charlie”. He attended the “Hazon Ovadia” elementary school in Be’er Sheva. Later on he studied at the Amal vocational school. Charlie was a hard-working and successful man, a man whom everyone admired and were eager to be and stay with. Sarli served in the IDF as a dedicated soldier who always liked to help others, and completed his service with the rank of sergeant, after serving in the Israel Police, where he worked at Soroka Hospital. He was conscripted into the Israel Police and served with devotion, and all his friends praised him and always told him how important he was to protect the weak, and he married Pnina on December 23, 1981. A policeman was killed during his service on December 20, 1981 He was buried at the cemetery in Be’er Sheva, leaving a wife, brother, and three sisters. Her son, who was born a few months later, bears his name – Charlie.
