Alfi, Yehoram
Son of Mashiach and Simcha. He was born in Tel Aviv on September 14, 1950 and studied at the “Model” school in the city, where he was a sports enthusiast and an art lover, and was interested in everything that took place in these areas. Yehoram was drafted into the IDF in October 1968. He was eager to join the Israel Air Force, but he was assigned to the navy and there he worked as an electron. He would not talk much because he knew how to keep a secret. After a while he volunteered to serve in Eilat, and on the day he died, as the family later learned, he volunteered to help the soldiers who had returned from the island of Shadan. On the 17th of Shevat 5702 (24 January 1970), he fell in the line of duty, in the rescue of the ammunition truck that exploded there. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kirchall.
