Alfasi, Chaim


Son of Sima and David. Born on the 19th of Tishrei, 5764 (19.9.1963), on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, in Kiryat Gat. He studied in the Kiryat Malachi elementary school, he went to boarding school Michmoret graduated from the Rogozin High School and was a member of the Student Council of the High School and was responsible for the cultural issue, and served as a camp counselor in the Pedagogical Center of the Youth Wing in Kiryat Gat. Chaim enlisted in the Communications and Electronics Corps in August 1982 and took a course at the Technical Equipment Training Institute, where he continued on to a training course and joined the career army in April 1988. During his career he met Orly, and they married in 1990. About a year after the birth of their eldest son Ran, in 1993, the family moved to Ness Ziona. Chaim served in Tze’elim and later in Tsrifin. At the end of 1994 his son Nir was born and the family moved again, this time to Ariel. In July 2000, after the birth of the son Oz, the family moved to Haifa. His wife, Orly, describes life as a husband and father: “The first thing is that Chaim was a family member devoted and loyal to his family in an unimaginable way, and every evening he would enter the house, stand for a moment at the entrance, It was mine, so he would come up to me and give me a kiss, to me and to the children Ran, Nir, and Oz were the objects of adoration and boundless love, and they were bound to life by a very special bond, beyond the amazing physical resemblance between them and beyond the fact that they liked to do the same things. On 12 Elul, September 9, 2003, Haim was killed in a terrorist attack in Zrifin. He was buried in the military cemetery in Haifa, leaving behind a wife and three sons, a mother and six brothers and sisters. The family published a book called Lechaim and a film.
